I am a 27 year old fashion designer living in Charleston, South Carolina. I married the love of my life and high school sweetheart in June 2011. We've been together for 12 years, and if you're good at math, married for 1. (Math happens to be my weakness.)
I was born in a small seashore town at the very bottom tip of New Jersey and moved to New York City in 2003 to go to fashion school (Fashion Institute of Technology). I did all the fab things a designer in training must do, like attend and volunteer at Fashion Week every season and intern for some nice and not-so nice designers. For my focus I chose children's wear since I always felt that welcomed the most unrestricted creativity, (side note this was not my entire curriculum, just 3to4 classes in my last 2 years) and found myself accepting a full-time design position in my junior year in Womenswear. Denim to say the least.... Ironic, I know.
Long story short, I had an amazing run in the industry for the past 7 years, even getting back into children's wear in the end.. doing the best of both worlds, denim and shoes. Baby shoes, come-on!
I've recently found myself moving from Brooklyn, where my heart still resides, and landing down south where I guess I can say I'm living the American dream. You know, the house, the yard, the fence, good finds from home goods... becoming the ever fabulous domestic goddess I'm apparently intended to be. As the saying goes, you can't have it all, so this blog is my next venture to find out what's floating in the universe for me.

This girl loves lists, so here's 10 of my favorite things (not people or my dog) on earth to get to know me better..
(in no particular order)
- expensive shoes
- spring in new york - like when you can actually hear the birds..
- order-in Chinese takeout on a Friday night. An eggroll with Champagne, are you kidding? best ever.
- dancing with my girlfriends.
- my wedding (it was a good time that I fondly look back on all the time)
- sour candy, candy stores, just c.a.n.d.y
- random car radio surfing that results in that treasure of a song you haven't heard in years.
- frequent life references to the movie Four Christmases
- summer, the beach, bikinis, sand, salty air, bbq
- hearing a new song for the first time and recognizing how good it is - it's kind of like meeting a really awesome person for the first time and wanting to stalk their life for a friendship. (Don't act like you've never met anyone that awesome.)
