...Social Media Fashion.

I've noticed a shift in fashion, but it very well could be my own personal shift. I remember when it mattered what color your top was, what size your pants were, and please god tell me your hair has had keratin. Things like this still matter to an extent, you can't just roll out of bed and call it dressed. But, today's culture is a lot more forgiving and tolerant of what you call your wardrobe and I think it's liberating!
It could be all of the creativity that all you wonderful people are demonstrating on social media sites like Pinterest or Polyvore. Everyone can see what you call fashion and call it right on the carpet. it could be me becoming an old woman in my late 20's, caring less and less about what you think and more and more about what I love. I have a feeling though, that all of you have reached this peak. It's so casually cool anymore to be who you are and express who you want to be by what you wear. Most people excel at this. Case in point, our ex-reality TV breakout fashionista muse, Olivia Palermo.

Don't you just hate her? Floating around global fashion weeks, getting photographed and within 24hrs ending up on everyone's inspiration boards. I think what everyone loves about Miss. O's fashion is how it's just not overly complicated and seems to be so expertly coordinated that you immediately think "Oh I can totally pull that off." Then the unfortunate reality sets in when you try it, that you look like you just shopped the racks at your local Goodwill instead of like you just stepped off the runway. Not coming from my personal experience or anything.
